Demand. Saudi Arabia imported 2.36 million kg of whole cloves in 2023, valued at $22.09 million.

Prices. Import prices were $9.25 to $10.50 per kg in 2023 and $13.41 to $16.70 in 2024.

Hajj program. The government program targets more than 400 tons of spices with 10 approved suppliers.

Export rules. Shipments need a CoC and a Halal certificate, GHAD registration and FASEH clearance.

Harvest. Main harvest runs April to September. West Sumatra supplies the early-season volume.

The report in one paragraph

Indonesia already supplies most Saudi clove imports. Import prices rose about 40 to 60 percent from 2023 to 2024. The Hajj program targets more than 400 tons of spices from 10 approved suppliers. Every shipment needs a CoC and a Halal certificate, plus GHAD registration and FASEH clearance.
